Biography

Nancy Mawuli is a German-Ghanaian composer, pianist, and independent artist based in Los Angeles. Her work is inspired by nature, the ocean, and lived experiences across cultures, shaping a sound that carries calm, depth, and emotional clarity.

Her compositions exist primarily in the neo-classical space, often infused with subtle African influences, Afro-soul, and mellow Afrobeat elements. She also writes R&B and performs jazz-influenced piano, reflecting a versatile and evolving artistic voice.

Her music is created for reflection, performance, and learning—inviting listeners into moments of stillness, emotion, and connection.

Alongside her work as an artist, Nancy has taught at universities in Los Angeles and shares her passion for music through a structured beginner piano course designed to guide students step by step in building confidence and musical understanding.

When she is not composing or teaching, she finds inspiration along the Californian coast, where the rhythms of nature continue to shape her sound.
